Question How Does Google Pick the "Product search results" Listings on Top of SERPS

I've been trying to figure this out for a while now. When you search for a product, you'll usually get a listing of match products that Google finds on Froogle just under the paid listings.

Does anyone know how it chooses these results? I've been looking into it and it's not by price and it's no the first three results that come up on Froogle by default.

These results are from Froogle. If you sell products, you should get your site in there. They'll send spiders and pick up some of your items automatically sometimes, but to be really sure, you can send them a datafeed and tell them what exactly to crawl and what info to use. I use it and actually have had good experiences with it.

You can't just use a regular datafeed or db spreadsheet as they won't necessarily be properly optimized for Froogle. Include all relevant product info; the info in the datafeed needs to match the info on your site. Product name is very important, essentially it would serve as your title/heading. Think about how consumers search for products and run w/ that. Keep the description simple and to the point. Sort of like google images, the name you give your images is pretty important. Also, they have to be larger than 100x100 I believe.

I'm sure I've missed quite a bit here, so if anyone has anything to add, please feel free.
