Google index, then disappear
Is it normal for pages that are getting indexed by google for the first time to appear in google, and then completely disappear the next day?

It's not that they are not coming up for the search terms that they were listed for (and I did have a few decent listings for a few HOURS)... they are completely missing from the index now.

Let me know if this is normal...

Yes, it's normal. Oftentimes Google will drop all the fresh pages before updating its index.
