I was thinking about making a similar comment on his blog at some point as the hypocrisy is painful at times.

I'd say it's more than likely to be deleted within a couple of days and guaranteed that you'll have Google fanboys flaming your post within minutes.

My guess is once you make a comment it appears instantly for *you* but for the rest of the world it doesn't exist 'til he approves it. So he'll have two posts waiting now.
