Actually, this depends, as I have a number of sites that get indexed on Google a lot faster than on MSN. Coincidentally, these sites seem to be getting crawled by Google 5-10 times as much as by MSN and Yahoo bots combined!
Age plays a huge factor here. New links are generally placed in a "link sandbox" which places filters on links pointing to your site to try to determine which links are quality and will stick around rather than some linking scheme to inflate PR etc unnaturally.
Another important factor is the age of the site. Google loves the veteran sites as sites that rank in their early stages usually don't stay in the serps long... Just play your cards right, and you'll be back.
