sonali, please can you give a little more information.

Has your site dropped in the rankings?

Where you getting a lot of traffic from Google and it has suddenly stopped?

Other than that, I go with this theory:

They have been taken over by the Mysterons and are currently wiping out all their databases and replacing them with circles that spin around

MSN sucks so you are probably ranking better on there than on GOOG.

MSN has been reindexing my site and content a ton faster than google lately. Apparently bill is pissed ha. MSN is talking about drastically improving their search soon, we will see what happens, as for now I'm getting about equal traffic but better rankings in MSN

If you website is relatively new then it is possible that you are in the Google Sandbox for certain competitive keywords. Check out my blog entry about my experience with the Google Sandbox.

As theChronic mentioned, MSN also indexes pages a whole lot faster than Google does and does not seem to have the "new link delay" that Google has.

Actually, this depends, as I have a number of sites that get indexed on Google a lot faster than on MSN. Coincidentally, these sites seem to be getting crawled by Google 5-10 times as much as by MSN and Yahoo bots combined!

Age plays a huge factor here. New links are generally placed in a "link sandbox" which places filters on links pointing to your site to try to determine which links are quality and will stick around rather than some linking scheme to inflate PR etc unnaturally.

Another important factor is the age of the site. Google loves the veteran sites as sites that rank in their early stages usually don't stay in the serps long... Just play your cards right, and you'll be back.

I agree with Keyword that MSN might not index pages faster but it does not have the link delay of Google and could be a good thing or not based on where you are coming from.

Discounting MSN and Yahoo traffic is not the best strategy especially for websites that are new and are lounging in the Google Sandbox or have been Google Bowled.
