Google Analytics Premium?

Google just launched this and it's all new stuff to me. If you know more stuff about this new service then let us know. Be sure to read this blog post for information about this premium service.

Today, Google launched it's newest Analytics offering – Google Analytics Premium. Here's what we know so far…

Why Use Google Analytics Premium?

The main benefit to subscribing to Google Analytics Premium is for a much higher level of support and data limits for your Analytics data.

I bet you didn't know that Google Analytics has a limit of 10 million "hits" per month. What Google means by a "hit" is a pageview, an E-Commerce transation, custom variable, or an event. So if someone fills out a form on your website, this could generate 2 or more "hits" – one for the page, and one as an event for filling out the form.

So that means that once you hit the 10 million "hit" mark, Google says there's "no assurance that the excess hits will be processed". In other words – the rest of the data just might be ignored.

On top of that, if you send more than...

Yeah I read about the Google Analaytics Premium on the official Analytics blog and it looks like a tool for big companies because they have not even mentioned any price and are offering a dedicated live support.

So they must be charging a good amount for that.

However it would be interesting to see if they offer some of those features in different packages to small sites as well in coming days.

I am happy that Google has not kept the Real-Time stats as premium-only feature.

I don't even use Google analytic's free version so I guess this one will pass me by unnoticed LOL

I guess I shall have to rely on other stats as I have been since 2003

I would believe this service is for big business's and large forum's. I'm happy with the regular Analytic's plus other software that i use. On the other hand, it's good to see Google doing more with Analytic's.
