Google Sitemap users

Hi,

If anyone uses Google Sitemaps and hasn't logged in for a few days, you probably should.

The headers required on the XML files have been changed, so you'll probably see error messages reported. Once you get that sorted, it'll then report any errors in the actual XML files.

All very handy, but some notification would have been nice!

Resubmit it

My sitemaps are actualy updated and resubmited almost daily.

Do you mean how often it's downloaded by googlebot? Ours is downloaded several times a day... I don't know what the norm is, however. Are you restricting any bot traffic with robots.txt or a meta tag?

hm.. no. i have digged into the server log and found the foot print of goolgebot, however, the Google Sitemap always report that the data is not avaliable.

i think i should try to re-submit as ayanev said.

Ahhh... OK... Yes, I'd re-submit, as well... once your site is validated, you can submit the sitemap as often as you like. We do sometimes experience the "sitemap not found" error reported, but that usually clears itself within 24 hours.
