cgreen, why dont correct your html errors first ? You have meta tags in the body and many, many, other errors.
Check http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...flowers.co.uk/ and do little rewriting of the code, it wont take you so much time, but can help robots read your content easily. Set the chars encoding, etc
Good luck ! Hope they will include your cool site immediately

I need to make my html valid. I had a problem with the "£" symbol when I tried to make my site valid before and gave up. Whats the correct mime type for the uk to allow £'s?
The google bot stopped visiting my site when I got banned. I have noticed I am still getting visits from google media partner. I have attached some info from my latest visitors report below and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on it.

Why is google media partner still visiting my website? I have notied that some of the pages it is searching for are definatly not linked to from my website. This one for example "/search.php?search=ross+on+wye" ross on wye is a place, why on earth is google media patner doing a product search for a place?

JS answered my question in another thread.
Google media partners is the adsense bot. It still visits my site because I have adsense.
Thanks js.

£ is "£" in pure html
You dont need to do your site in 1000% validated html, just there are few general mistakes - take a look at the begining of your <body>
Im using this £ in my current developing site - http://www.bgpropertybuy.com/ - the symbol there is validated - http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...opertybuy.com/.
If i can help with the other things you want to do in correct way - ill be glad to help you

Thanks for the offer. Now that you have shown me how to do a pound sign I can clean up the html. The only problem is I have no time.
I am currently working on a site for a client. They are a wholesale company and want to push as many end users as possible to local stockists. This project has had so many challenges, all of the product data gets pulled from their sage accounting system so I had to create a 3 part export - transfer - import system to keep the website price / availability info upto date. I have used oscommerce for the foundations but have installed about 30 mods, some I wrote myself, to convert oscommerce to be a complete CMS & to have a template system so its easy to customise the appearence, its far removed from the standard oscommerce we all know and love.
I dont have the companies domain pointing at the new site and dont want to post a link to where I currently have it hosted but if anyone wants to have a preview send me a pm and ill send you a link.

Your site is not banned. It may have a penalty associated with it though.
If your site is banned your site won't return anything for a site:foobar.com
site:send--flowers.co.uk
I used the google.co.uk for the link, I also verified it in the dotCom as well.

Try this search
and

My site isnt there.

You know I bet its because you have a white background and white text in your header. Just a guess,
You have an image behind it so you can see the text but google might not be able to see that.
Try turning images off and look at your site. You see your top text is hidden when you do that.
Again thats just a guess, matts pretty good about this stuff, I'd tell him and see if you can get a response.

That particular bit of table now reads as:
Code:
<TD width=800 height=100 bgcolor="#000000" background="/Picz/top_header.gif">
I never thought of that one. It looks like I am a much dodgier web designer than I thought.

You need to ask the Google Support. They will explain to you why..
