Anchor (hashed) Links in Google Search Results

I'm a bit slow in this but I think this the first "Jump To" I've seen in a search result snippet:

It seems they've been around for a while (2 years?) and Yoast wrote a good blog on it:

Is anyone now optimising to get these links? Is it worth it?

Hashed links are followed by very little number of users. Mostly people use plane keywords.

Could you explain what you mean? The search phrase I used contained "plane" [sic] keywords. I think your mixing hash tagging with the use of hash in URLs?

I have done that, on purpose and by accident. Can't find an example right now but I have seen them in the results.

can you really do it purpose? i mean to show it on your result snippet?? or it still depends on the link popularity of the page?

All I did was provide named anchors as a convenience/usability features for my readers initially and they just happened to show up on some page results. Try and remember to do it when applicable now.

An example of where usability and SEO compliment each other.

It has to do with the user's search whether they show up or not.

As @HTMLBasicTutor states and in the article I referenced, it's just about markup.

@HTMLBasicTutor do your remember if you linked to the the anchors that got indexed?

I ask that because it would be interesting to know if Google just use name or even id attributes that are near to relevant copy for search results, or do they require a hint via a physical link to confirm the in page location. I'd guess the latter.

Yes they are proper named anchors. e.g. list of steps with named anchors to the steps

Time to update my website then. I want to break Google by having the most rich snippets in the one listing :-)
