One minute SEO next minute spanking - that's why I love this forum
Learnt something from this thread - Cricket's comments about dyanmic URL's - I knew that it took longer to index them, but never saw that advise on the webmaster pages.

Interesting, some of those links I didn't know existed. Most of them are from webrings I joined to drum up business, some are from my other personal sites. But a couple of them I've not seen pop up on Google if I type in "cakegreetings" only.
Edit: Ah, ic, it's the former domain owner that must have submitted a couple of those based on when they were submitted.

I believe you're site is banned in Google. I feel a bit spooky about the links within your web ring. I am not trying to accuse it as the culprit, but the fact that you are in that "neighborhood" once a site misbehaves and got penalized, it could have affected your site.

If Google ban is confirmed, you can request for reinclusion.

Guilty by association basically? I'd like to think DebbieV is more on the line of course, but just in case I'm dropping some of the webrings, or maybe all lol.

Well, I got a reply from Google! Yep, I'm banned. And those webrings I'm guessing are the culprit. I dropped them all & the code from my site. I replied to Google apologizing and asked for a 2nd chance. Hopefully they will grant it. Lesson learned.

Oh I see. So now it should be easy to get out of those "bad neighborhood" sites interlinked through that webring.
Good approach of removing the mess before requesting for reinclusion. Your site should be back in Google radar soon.

One last update... whoever the person was that replied said they would now send my request on to the engineering team who will review my site for reinclusion. Their response has been polite (rather than harsh and rude) so kudos to them. Now hopefully they'll get me indexed soon!

Did you get a good number of pages indexed? That always gives me re-assurance, wish they would hurry up with the arcade site...
