google index times and inital index?

I have a site that's about 45 days old and has yet to be "directly" index by google. I have submitted site manually numerous times but when I go and check site:www.webpage.com, nothing comes up. However I have linked to vendors online and my information comes up on their site. How long does it take Google to get a site indexed? Any quick tips to help speed things up? Once it is indexed, how often does their bot come back and check for updates?

I've tried that a few times in the last month an a half and it doesn't work. At least not anymore.

Google does take some time for a new site to index. Maybe as your site is new it might be in Sandbox period.

My website is http://www.oceanairtech.com
I have ran link popularity checks lately and Yahoo, MSN and Alta Vista are all registering over 100 links each. However, Google, HotBot and Inktomi are sitting at 0. So I'm not sure how ture the statement is that if you site is linked to established sites, Google will find in quicker.
Feel free to browse around the site and if there is something out of place or that needs work or that is banning me from Google, please let me know. Thanks guys.
Jason

put robots.txt,
submit google sitemap,
get a lof ot links for your website..

The code is really weight, but it looks okay, not SEOed, but ok.
The website dont seem to be banned by google, so everyithing is in your hands.

I have had good luck using sitemaps and getting linking to my new sites from my established sites. I can usually get a new site indexed within a week using these methods.

For my first site I purchased a link on a PR6 site to get my site indexed in under a week.

I am pleased to inform everyone that Google has FINALLY started indexing my site. I submitted a sitemap per Google's format, resubmitte my url for the millionth time, resubmitted and created a robot.txt file per there format as well today and earlier I noticed their bot poking around. Now I'm not sure if any of this had anything to do with it since Google responded so quickly or if it was just the 50 day waiting period but something worked. Thanks for all the help guys, now I just have to work on keyword ranking and research. I hope this helps anyone else out there having trouble getting Google to notice them!
