Google Longtail Keywords Infographic

Quote:
A Look at How Longtail Content Lost Its Edge

Over the years Google has moved to consolidate search volume against fewer keywords (which are easier to match ads against) and they have inserted their own vertical listings in their search results. The result is that the longtail has become far less profitable for many publishers

The search mutation is the most dangerous and the inappropriate I have experienced.

I believe that Google is going out of the search path and start annoying people with the way they force you to accept their search engine results which are now often irrelevant.

google is now in the mood of doing pure business so its not a surprise by him. after becoming the world's most popular and widely used search engine google just do not want to invest on analysis for the keywords that are about 20% newer everytime.

that is why they continue updating their algorithm, we all know that there's alot of webmaster/SEO that will do anything to get on top. But what google concern is the users not the site producers..

I agree to the fact that Google's result is now becoming irrelevant. But this can make them suffer a lot... how can they lower their quality of result and at the same time survive as the best search engine?

There is no alternative to Google, Bing follow the same Google's path.

It is just marketing and money, they have the most powerful business banks and they invest everywhere they can to extend their Empire.

As people only enter few words for their query and not whole the sentences. And google want to show the results as per the exact query entered by people , so can provide the more relevant result to the user. And that is why now it has be more hurtful for the long tail keywords as by this new updation. As google is on the direction of providing the best to its users so now more competition and hard work to get the better results for all.
