PR on expired domains
Let's say I buy a domain immediately after its previous owner lets it expire.

Will it keep its pagerank?

It seems like since the in bound links are still in place it should keep the pagerank, right?

But I think I've also read something about Google clearing it out. In this case, how do you build it back, by getting even MORE in bound links? How does Google know what was an "old" in bound link vs. a new one?
