How to Get Back Links From Google?

Hi,

I get that quality backlinks are really important and that junk backlinks/adfarms are trouble.

So how do I go about getting good links? I've done a press release and distributed it via free press release distribution.

I've traded links with a few sites. (I think I could probably do more here - but they are hard to find/validate and many link only for a fee -which I can't afford).

My site gets mentioned (but not hyperlinked) regularly and often in very popular web communities.

What else can I do?

To get backlinks from google, just update content regularly. Google likes updated content. Add fresh content in your site with help of rss feeds, blogs. Fresh content helps in getting more backlinks. Also use targeted keywords, use those keywords in your content. This also helps in generating backlinks from google.

IMHO...read the post by John Scott...read it again...read it yet again...

Then go out and do ALL of the things listed. (Yep. I said ALL of them).

Then do them some more.

You will find Google success.

Sounds simple, but it is a lot of effort and and takes work to make it. His list truly is very comprehensive and will get you there.

Since we are in the Google forum, I can be specific about this as well. Content is NOT that big of a deal.
