Google is about to launch a new commenting system that will tie into the search giant’s Google+ platform, web services and web search, a source close to the product’s development confirmed with The Next Web
Tech-WD blogger Saud Al-Hawawi also reported yesterday that several new Google features that have yet to be announced were discussed at the Google event G-Saudi Arabia, including the new commenting platform.
The Google comment system, which will almost certainly rival that of Facebook, will have...

Exactly just what it said, it's trying to rival Facebook's. But if Google can't increase the user base of Google+, this might be useless. On the other hand, Google can launch this, convince top blogs to install it as their commenting system, and get more users for Google+ in the process.

I feel that the future of Google+ will be the same as that is of Orkut. Personally, I don't want to check many social sites status except Facebook.

Both giants are fighting like children. If one do something 2nd one surely run behind it to beat him. We just wait and watch what happen in next 2/3 years.

You know is is one thing I am going to have to say no to Google about. It seems to me any commenting I do should be restricted to the community I'm commenting in.
If I want to share what I post here or on a on Facebook or Google+ then I'll use that community's share buttons.

There are many things behind which are not followed by google. And now Google is trying to dominate every thing. Its bigger competitor in social media and social networking world id FB. Google tried many times to get over it but did not succeed yet. Orkut and Google plus are its examples.

So, it will be just like facebook commenting system. However, let see how far it will be embeddable. Previously google has offered such commenting plugin through friend connect, but it is not widely used like facebook comment plugin.

Google+ is Google's service, so Google gives more importance for it. Even me just wondering to know competition between Google+ and Facebook. Lets see who will win.

Google cannot beat Facebook, Social Networking is something that Google can't take over unless it goes ahead an buy Facebook like they did Orkut.

Facebook is still powerful for now. But From what I've been hearing google + has been targeting more of the younger population, to get them into g+ before they head the fb route.

To all of the members above, I do believe the article i linked us to is about Google launching 3rd party comment system.
Would anyone care to share there thoughts on the blog posts content?
Would you at least test it out for a few months? I'm still using the default wordpress comment system and not going to add a 3rd party comment system on my 1 blog.
