are you waiting for the cache to be updated or do you want your site permanently removed?

The cache will update in its own time, just build backlinks and this will happen sooner.

I am guessing that he wants the cache refreshed, and the Google removal tool just removes those pages from the index.

It doesn't even remove them completely. I used the removasl tool to remove a folder of v7n from Google's index, and a couple months later I changed the robots.txt, and now the old pages (that haven't been there for a year) are back in google's index.
