Google's come up with something pretty amazing, and I don't think this is part of their April Fools' jokes. This one seems pretty legit, and I do hope that this would be developed quickly. I'd be happy if I can get to try it out soon.

What are your thoughts on Google's latest plan?

Yeah, looks great, and another tool to monitor our every moves. Now with video.....


It really looks exciting. Augmented reality is cool, but there is still this feeling that someone somewhere will misuse this. Heck, they already do this here in Austria. 6 months data retention. EVERY data. With this thing, they can see your location + what you are looking....

But let's say nobody misuses this (unlikely ) could be usefull for many things, not only social networking. Has also great military potential. Wonder if any army pumps funds into this thing.

Certainly very cool but as I am struggling to find good mobile internet connection every day then I do not see it really working yet, maybe in 2-3 years time.

Concept ideas like this are really cool, but as long as Google is in the ads business and not selling products, their designs are bound to become ridden with advertisements that inevitably become annoying. Now, if they were selling these things for profit, and open sourcing the on-board OS, that'd be really sweet.

Suddenly, I imagine 3/4 of my vision being blocked by ads the same way as the ads are dominating the space on the search results. That's definitely not something that you would want to see on a daily basis.

Imagine that happening while driving with a navigation system. Suddenly your vision gets blocked by ****** advertisements
