A look at the Google Trends for Mothers day:

Compared to the trend for Fathers day:
http://www.google.com/trends?q=fathers+day

Why would it possibly be the opposite?

has anyone found Google trends to be a little inaccurate. not as in the data, but rather the only numbers they give you to show you a perspective are the years.

there are no numbers to indicate any sort of number of times something is searched. basically it just graphs relative info since you have no idea what the increments used are.
