Google Keyword Tool Question

I have a question about the Google keyword tool. I am trying to get as many Low competition keywords as I can for my site. The problem that I am having is this:
-Can I find out how many other sites are competing for this keyword?
-Does the keyword tool show the number of backlinks that this particular site has for that word?

I am pretty new to using the keyword tool, trying to get to know it a little better.

Keyword analyzing tool shows how much competition having the keyword but it can not show how many sites are competing for it or how many backlinks are generated for the particular keyword.

No, number of site is not showing. It only show competition metrics with point ( range from 0.01 to 0.99)

No, to get number of anchor text and backlink you need a 3rd party tool such as backlink watch and open site explorer tool to check.

You should use other tools, because the GOOGLE tool is a simple data, not specific analysis. recommend that you use MS

Yes. I use Wordtracker's LinkBuilder, they have filter feature for back link's anchor texts.

An easy way to see how competitive a keyword is.

Do this type your key phrase into Google. look how many results Google has. Also a little tip if the keyword phrase appears in the meta title multiple times chances are its very hard to get.

No this Google External Keyword tool only guide you for Keywords also your can get idea about competition on your targeted keywords in this tool.

For Backlink you should check backlinkwatch dot com and many other tools are available as per above.

Google keyword tool is a great tool to use for keywords but it doesn't give you specific information that you're requesting for.

To find out how many sites are competing for a particular keyword use the following phrase on google search engine intitle:"your keyword". I think this will tell you the number websites that are targerting a specific keyword

Check out market samurai software to determine the number of backlinks that a particular site has for specific key phrase.

I guess you can use a keyword tool for suggestions then afterwards, try to use the search engine to get an idea how many competing pages (or number of results) are there in a specific keyword/keyword phrase

Well it doesn't show how many other sites are competing for that keyword and neither it gives you back linking information, but i can recommend you can go with SEO Quake tool, basically it is an add on that is installed in your browser and tell you the PR, total back links, ranking etc. of the particular website that you are visiting, however it cannot provide you with overall result! Search over the internet for such type of tool, as you might find something useful!
