I have never really gotten handle how often Google freshens the data in WMT.

How Often Should I Update Sitemap /w Google Webmaster Tools?

Maybe it is just my silly thinking, but it appears that if I update my Sitemap.xml page with Google Webmaster Tools (via RESUBMIT) every day that I add pages to my website, then Google takes longer to INDEX the new pages.

Is there any etiquette regarding how often to RESUBMIT pages in Google Webmaster Tools?

I guess there's no specific set of etiquettes in resubmitting pages to Google Webmaster Tools. As to your first question, I also don't think there's a specific frequency of updates coming in.

I do not even realize how long, but it is more than a month to see the new data after I tried to kill a lot of link-spam that led to my blog.

i generally update blog section 1 time in a month with 2 articles. and i resubmit my sitemap at that time it generally take 2 days for my new pages to be indexed.

From my collection of website webmaster tools report, the search impression is being updated in two days difference as in other words today's search impression report I can get on the day after tomorrow but in terms of backlink report it is very slow to update the websites list

if the site is updated daily and after submit the site map then daily will update (sitemap).. but I think other like error, traffic reporting.etc. are weekly ( according to my site )
