Conflicting PR for default page

I have a question about conflicting PR on my homepage. The PR on http://www.preplogic.com/ is a 0. Now if I append default.asp, http://www.preplogic.com/default.asp; I get a PR of 6?

Could this be due to the way I have given out links or an our affiliate program?

I am kind of new to SEO and Google, so any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely due to your internal linking. All your internal links to the home page seem to point to the default.asp URL.

Choose one URL, either with default.asp or without default.asp, and go with it.

At the moment, Google is viewing the two different URLs as different pages. Each of these "pages" has different in-bound links, so the PageRank is different.

I've seen several sites where Google "figured out" that they were the same page, but it seemed to take a long time.

In simple english, just make sure that ALL of your links go to the same place and that ALL your SEO efforts are focused on that place. The same thing applies to mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com.

Choose one and do it the same, everytime, but with different anchor text (grin)...

You could put a redirect into the htaccess to transfer the PR and have it so default.asp goes to / all the time
