How to solve crawl errors from google webmaster tool?

Hi v7n's members,

I'm working SEO work on new design website from 2 month. In starting, I changed URL names (Page Naming) in some pages. But after 2 month, I found crawling error from Google webmaster account.

Now friends give me suitable suggestion to solve this problem.

Make a 301 redirection from the old url to the new url.

http://www.yourseodomainthing.com/old_url.html

to

http://www.yourseodomainthing.com/new_url/


If you're using wordpress, you can use the redirection plugin to do that.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/

If you're not using wordpress, you can do that in .htaccess

redirect 301 /old/old-page.htm http://www.newsite.com/new-page.htm

If you have 10 of those... you have to make 10 lines of these, specifying each old url to the new url.

What were the crawl errors? were they URL Not Found? if so are they the old urls or the new ones?
