Info Searching:

Interesting, thanx Compar

I just tried to find some info out about a particular site but it didn't seem to show the desired results as instructed when I type in info:

Info Searching:
Find out what information Google has stored about a particular web page or site by searching: info: direct-response-marketing.net

I typed in the google search ---> info: www.widget.com

but all I saw in the serps was a list of sites around those keywords, not much info?..

any ideas?

More special features from google

Hi Compar,
I know this is slightly off topic...

I have noticed that when you have optimised web sites you place the <title> tag in beetween the <meta> tags, instead of on top or below... why do you use this practise?? have you found it to work in your favour in some way?

Its interesting I must say!

You've been peeking.

I read a very old article on the Wordtracker site that reported that someone had done this by accident and thought that they saw good results from it. The suggestion was to put your meta description in before the title. I think the rationale was since the meta description was longer than the title it also was more keyword rich and that you want to give the most keywords to the SE as early as possible on the page.

Now the question is, since Google in theory ignores meta tags does that do any good? I don't know and we aren't even consistent across all our sites in doing this. But I have never seen a situation where I thought it hurt us.
