Description Snippet in Google

I just noticed that Google is displaying a different description snippet for my main page for different keywords.

I have a meta description set for the main page.

I am running Wordpress, would it be to my advantage to have a tastefully worded paragraph above the posts including my main keyword to see if Google would pick that up more consistently?
