It's been on here since last night. So, I think the new forum should be getting SE traffic soon.
The old forum is still getting it's normal share of SE traffic. Life is good.

John you have obviously done the google mod on the forum, correct?
I recently did it too, and almost everyday since then, almost 3 - 4 months ago, google is spidering my forum. PHPBB has got to be the best forum software out there when it comes to google and spidering.

Yeah since PHPBB uses session id's google has a hard time indexing the content. The google mod gets rid of session id's.
Oh wait did you guys do a fresh install of phpBB? I see you have 2.0.6. , they fixed this problem in 2.0.6. So you might now have done it.

No they didn't. People keep saying that, but all you need to do is look at the cache of almost any phpBB 2.0.6, and you'll see session ID's.
We did the Google-friendly MOD, and several others.

For the record the only thing they did in 2.0.5 related to sessions was remove the session ID checking that was causing all the "invalid_session" errors when people would login and have their IP change on them thanks to their ISP's proxy (caugh caugh AOHELL).

I have installed this mod a week ago and haven't seen any difference yet, though the google bot is on our homepage every day, and so are jeeves and a few others but I don't see them crowling our boards yet.

Luchtzak, this is the url rewrite mod, if your providers supports it, it maybe a nice thing.
