Sudden Drop all keywords ranking in google !!!

Hi All,

I don't know what is the reason, Why drop all keywords ranking in google even not show in google. Yesterday was ranking is good, there was no problem but today i check ranking... not showing website particular keywords...before showing it top 10 more than 100 keywords. I want to what is reason to drop all ranking.

One thing more, I purchase yesterday 18 domains more and these domain redirect on live website. And these domains are not hosted ever.

My website is theglobehunters , Anyone provide me constructive suggestion or advice about "What is the actual reason behind this"

Thanks

Shubhra

The additional domains are probably not a good idea. Search engines want to provide as much unique content as possible, so they don't like it when you have a bunch of different domains all pointing to the same content. Even if they're redirecting and not duplicate content - I would remove all those redirects and see if perhaps that helps after a time.

Other than that, perhaps you are suffering from an algorithm update. It looks like you have a lot of duplicate meta descriptions and keywords - personally I do not add meta keywords to my sites anymore as they are mostly seen as a spam signal these days, and having unique meta descriptions is important. You might want to check out Google Webmaster Tools too and see if they have left you any messages or provide any clues as to why your rankings would drop.

Last but not least - don't be totally concerned if this is only happening recently. Google updates itself constantly and it is not unusual for sites to drop out of the results and reappear. But, if after a week or so you are still not ranking for any of your previous keywords, you will probably want to look into Google's best practices and see what you can improve on your site. Best of luck!

@RedScooter, Thanks for providing valuable suggestion, I think so.. this happen due to redirection. So i removed 301 to all domains.
In webmaster, have no message. and there are no duplicate meta title, description and keywords tags.

I think so this ranking should be back with in a week.

Drop Ranking

Shubhra as you remove all the redirection, your site will take some time to get its rank back. Try to build some quality backlinks with good content that help your site rank well.

Back in 2008 I went from position #1 for the most competitive keyword in my niche to sub-600 in a matter of hours.

I never recovered in Google. My ranking in Yahoo has been pretty consistent for years. Google is a different story entirely.

@rankwatch.com, Yes, I removed all redirection from my website. but i didn't get keywords ranking still.

@billzo, I am totally agree with you "Google is a different story entirely". Now I think, Google does not work against small website. It doesn't work fairly.

No, Google does not work fairly.

The bottom line is that if you are an established webmaster with an existing portfolio of sites, you will always beat the little guy because you can use your sites to point links at your new sites no matter the quality of your site.

You will find thousands upon thousands of stories from webmasters who sites dropped in Google for no reason. Completely relevant, legitimate websites dropped by Google for no logical reason.

It's been going on for years.

I have received reply from google about reconsideration of my site, today.

Dear site owner or webmaster of http://www.theglobehunters.com/,

We received a request from a site owner to reconsider http://www.theglobehunters.com/ for compliance with Google's Webmaster Guidelines.

We reviewed your site and found no manual actions by the webspam team that might affect your site's ranking in Google. There's no need to file a reconsideration request for your site, because any ranking issues you may be experiencing are not related to a manual action taken by the webspam team.

Of course, there may be other issues with your site that affect your site's ranking. Google's computers determine the order of our search results using a series of formulas known as algorithms. We make hundreds of changes to our search algorithms each year, and we employ more than 200 different signals when ranking pages. As our algorithms change and as the web (including your site) changes, some fluctuation in ranking can happen as we make updates to present the best results to our users.

If you've experienced a change in ranking which you suspect may be more than a simple algorithm change, there are other things you may want to investigate as possible causes, such as a major change to your site's content, content management system, or server architecture. For example, a site may not rank well if your server stops serving pages to Googlebot, or if you've changed the URLs for a large portion of your site's pages. This article has a list of other potential reasons your site may not be doing well in search.

If you're still unable to resolve your issue, please see our Webmaster Help Forum for support.

Sincerely,

Google Search Quality Team

Well at least lucky for you that they confirmed that you have not done anything wrong. Now going back to your earlier problem, does it occur to you that maybe the reason why your ranking changed is because of a dance?

Is it a .com? That was the first one I could find and I could not access the site. I think your server might be down or something similar.

What was your campaign before you lost rank? how did you build links, etc.?

A lot of my pages, including my home page, have also dropped in the rankings recently. At the same time, my google plus postings for a lot of keywords have risen quite a bit.
