Searching question

I'm going to be writing some articles for my new site, and I have a quick question.

If I named the article "Baseballs Stars - The Overacheivers", made all the links tha text, gave the page that title, etc. ... and someone searched for "Baseballs Stars" .. would the article come up (of course, it depends how well I've SEOed it, but imagine that I did ). Or ... do they have to search for "Baseballs Stars - The Overacheivers" exactly?

Don't listen to me because I have no idea what I am talking about, but I think that your site would come up for that since the words baseballs starts are together.

You are being way too modest. I'm sure you know exactly what you are talking about. And you are right.

If the site is well indexed and has lot of backlinks it might get found for 'baseball stars', 'stars of baseball', 'Baseball overachievers', overachievers baseball', 'overachievers stars' and any other combination you can think of.

The words do not have to be next to each other or in exact order to get you found on the SEs. But you do have to have lots of backlinks from sites with relevant content.
