What the hell? I got a PR 6, when I reloaded it went to 5. That's pure evil! Edit: Oh wait it's back again. Wee, nice.
IMR gone up to PR7, that's very nice.
Hmm if free-games.as has a PR6 and free-games.to has a PR5, then why is free-games.as listed somewhere on page 9 and free-games.to on page 1?

These PR/inbound-links updates Google has, do they have any effect on rankings? If so, should these changes be visible immediately along with the new inbound links and PR, or does it take longer for the rankings to change?

So far as I can tell, Google actually implements the changes to the rankings continually - it's only the public record of PR and backlinks that updates just once every month (or so).

Anyway, I still don't understand why my PR6 site (free-games.as) is listed lower (page 9) for the keyword "free games" and free-games.to and free-games-net.com, both PR5, are listed #1 and #2.

Google takes a variety of factors into consideration for it's normal algo. for a start, what is the anchor text like for most of your inbound links?
Directory links really are of especial importance at the moment as well - get multiple DMOZ links, if you can..

The website is listed in DMOZ and Yahoo and has pretty much the same anchor text as free-games.to has. Either "Free-Games.as" or "Free Games". AllTheWeb shows Free-games.to has about twice the amount of inbound links I have, but I have PR6 and they have a PR5.
