URL format?
Will this kind of URL format effect my pages form getting index or receiving a PR:
http://www.mysite.com/this_underscore_format.htm

or would I be better off keeping my URL looking like this
http://www.mysite.com/thisunderscoreformat.htm

You'll get PR whatever - but what you really should think on is to separating keywords with hyphens, so that search engines can read the keywords properly. This is useful for Google and Inktomi.

Google does not interpret an underscore as a space.
