Do you have a speculation about when Google will update?
  • Do you think there has been a backlinks update?
  • Do you think there has been a PR update?
  • Are you seeing Google fluctuations?
  • Do you think there has been an algorithm update?

Definitely some major update's going on. I'm guessing one, as big as the Penguin Update.

What is sure that Google will keep cleaning the house of spam sites with poor content. Time to wait passionately and write good content.

I get a feeling that this update is again a bad one and I won't be surprised if the "engineers" tweak a little again, within this month.

Google Announces 24th Panda Refresh; Not Related To January 17th

Quote:
Despite it being just five days from extremely strong signs of a Google update, which Google denied, Google announced yesterday on Twitter that they have pushed out a new Panda refresh....

...Honestly, the forums are not that noisy about this change. The January 17th change, which Google said was nothing, seemed like a much larger Google search update than this 1.2% Panda refresh they announced yesterday.

It's a data refresh, not a change to the SERP algorithm.

Be that as it may, it is important that people understand the differences between the various things that can cause such variations.

As Google did, with the advent of Panda, exceed the excess computing capability that it had gained with the advent of its Caffeine hardware platform, it cannot now do the needed data evaluations required for either Panda or Penguin en masse, but must do such in small pieces, even if no changes to the SERP algorithm are ever again made, unless the web's total content is frozen in time.

Do you think Goolge would ever tell that there was a a major update? It's obviously bigger than that 1.2% of the English queries. Moreover, I never used the word "algorithm" update. I just said a big update comparing it with Penguin, which hurt a lot of people. I think you misunderstood and I guess I'm to be blamed.

Considering that they've previously admitted that some updates affected a larger percentage of queries than was first expected, why not?

As evidenced by what?

How can a Panda update affecting fewer than 1.2% of English queries be big compared to Penguin when the latter's 24 APR 2012 update alone affected 3.1 percent of English queries?

What creditable source do you have there is a new algorithm update named Google Zebra as from the research I have done, this was a joke going around the internet and people are so gulliable to fall for it.

Google Panda and Google penguin. Both animals black and white so people suggesting they name the next update Zebra. It's a joke and even the high ranking SEO blogs that been covering SEO for many years have mentioned nothing about this.
