If not, what can I do to help ranking if a site was encrypted?

Surely you cannot encrypt the HTML pages of a website and expect them to display in browsers, or am I missing something?

This is what I'm doing. With a few other scripts that have been modified.

As for google crawling my site, yes it does. Proof:

do you call inserting a hundred end-of-line characters to the top of your page "encrypting"? man.. this is so silly. any 10yr old can take the source of your pages and parse for links, so whats the point really in showing total lack of professionalism by inserting useless "right click disabled" javascript function?

and to answer your original question, no, your hundreds of '\n' would not penalise your rankings in the slightest. better work on that incoming links.

I thought we were talking about encrypted pages but that's not encryption.

Two things:-

(1) The site isn't spiderable. There are no crawlable links on the home page, so it's no good for the engines.

(2) After visiting the site and right clicking on the home page, I found that my normal copy an paste function doesn't work any more and I'll have to reboot my computer to get it back. That's annoying. I'm assuming it is down to the right click and, if so, I won't go back to the site and it'll drive others away too. It annoys the hell out of me when websites fiddle with my computer.

Correction:

It isn't the right click that breaks the computer's copy/paste function - it happens when you arrive at the site - that's all it needs - just arrive on the front page et voila! - the computer is broken until it's rebooted.

You know... the longer I sit here the more pissed I get that this site messed with my computer enough to cause me to have to reboot.

Are you that afraid that someone will steal your code?????? It's no big freakin deal. If they want it, let them have it. Who the hell cares?!!!???!!!
