Some report says google is on mission of future projects including new data center expansion.

Google at Dallas

and one news flooded that google is secretly developing online gaming hub to dominate Online Gaming Industry.
Here are some of today's online gaming players.

Yahoo Games
InboxDollars

This is not conforming news however.

Onlinewicks Survey forcasted over 10 billion online revenue generation from online gaming.

The recent future for Google is turning into big affiliate network, becuase they introduced:

Google Checkout

test Google affiliate system

test CPA (cost-per-action) instead of old fashioned cost-per-click they had with AdWords and AdSense.

I will be amazed if they take the monopoly from PayPal. People have embedded there trust with this one firm. Why would they customers want to move? Also I expect Ebay will heavily influence what Payment Medium people use.

I think the monopolies commision will be punishing them like microsoft if there not too careful after all, shouldn't they stick to what they're good at?

eBay is already prohibiting Checkout last I saw.

I think there will be people that will switch though. PayPal isn't really the most trusted payment option since anyone can get an account and there's no protection offered on the exchange. Checkout will include some protection and Google is offering decent discounts for merchants using both Checkout and AdWords, which will mean a significant savings on advertisng costs.

I think you're right in that people will continue to use PayPal, but not everyone loves the system and I can easily see Google taking over a share of the market. The two aren't exactly the same in that each offers a little something the other doesn't, but as a merchant I don't see why you wouldn't want both.

If you look at their patent filings, that is a good indicator what they are up to.

Julie of course you're right about the patents, but isn't basing everything on rumor more fun?

I don't care, as long as I'm one of the first to get the news or rumour out! hehe.

It's easy to be first on the rumor part. All you have to do is make something up.
