Links On The Same Site

Lets say a site has 30 links to my site (on different pages)
will it be like i have a link on 30 differant sites , or google will only count the link one time ?

Hi,
I think the following (only observations, and no proof):
google does count all 30 links for your PR, but it doesn't count them for ranking. What do I mean? I have a website that has 2000 links from one website, which has PR8. Therefore, I got PR 7, but in google, I still have some PR4 ranking higher than I'm ranking. But, then again, this has only been since after-florida that this is happening.

The point is that Google does not use PR as a measurement of relevancy. PR is a mathematical calculation only. Before Florida relevancy was determined almost exclusively by anchor text. Since then we think there are other techniques being used. But PR is not relevance.

PR is greatly mis-understood no question. Myself and Bob are going to be testing some of these "theories" floating around on some domains and IPS.

Through actual testing we will either quell or prove some of the discussion in the thread that Bob linked to. It is a good chat worth reading and contributing to.
