4s across the board. Was really hoping for some 5s with that last update.
Maybe next time.

It seems that most of my community sites have a low ranking. I'm new so I imagine that is why it is low. Or actually what is a page rank and what does it matter? I'm guessing you want 10? or am I off base? I have no clue...can you tell?
edited to say: I'm doing some reading and am beginning to understand thanks to this forum.

What's going on everyone seems to be stuck in a rut of four. That's what my blog is too. I think four is like a bridge of PR where you you have to get a lot more in order to reach 5 the big middle.
Thank You

We aren't stuck at 4.
The age of your websites, quality, and the age of the links that link to your website is key. We manage a couple websites that have PR5 but only have 2 backwards links. Then on the other hand Webfu-Design.com has PR5 and over 3000 links. Our e-commerce websites have PR6 {was PR7} - Those sites are 10 years old and DMOZ listed.
That last update we got PR2's, 3, 4 and 5's. New pages in PR5 folders got PR4 and new pages in PR6 folders/directories got peppered with PR5's.

I want a PR7, it's my favorite number.
I need to develop a site because my portfolio is empty.

The highest is PR7, the lowest is PR5 (5 is quite easy to get IMO)

We've got a big fat PR2 here: www.thesaltoftheearth.com and some of our other pages even went down in PR.

Easy if you have your own PR sites to link from.. unless there is another easy way?
