Do you have a speculation about when Google will update?
  • Do you think there has been a backlinks update?
  • Do you think there has been a PR update?
  • Are you seeing Google fluctuations?
  • Do you think there has been an algorithm update?

I noticed a change last night. A lot of ebay in results for what I am monitoring.

Google alerts also sending a lot of ebay and Wordpress.com spam for the phrases I am monitoring the last month or so.

The art of manipulating is deserved to Google.

Actually what I read was that serps didn't change a lot for webmasters, but the traffic is way down from 25% to 50%. I wouldn't be surprise that they send more and more traffic in their pay ads systems (Adwords and Shopping products).

It just confirm that the organic search is depleted step by step after every major google update.

Its weird how the SERP's did not change very much for some people but there traffic dropped. I actually had a friend that this happened to.

I have seen several different people say this and it sadly seems to be the case.

Google Updates are on roll for 10 days, I read it in one of the productforums people are sharing fluctuations in Search Engine traffic but the unique thing is there is no change in traffic page rank.

I think Google update is fluctuating the Search traffic for fewer domains to minimize the impact of the new update roll out and in place keeping the traffic rank stagnant so as to make sure people don't make loud noise across web.

If it is a update one more noticeable thing is people are not complaining of movement of links in search ranking, but still the traffic is fluctuating. Waiting for an official word from Google once this Googlequake is successfully over.

Google does not control traffic.

You claimed that Google was deliberately manipulating traffic.

Google’s Panda Dance: Matt Cutts Confirms Panda Rolls Out Monthly Over 10 Of 30 Days

Too bad we all can't go to SMX. Matt Cutts was making announcements left, right and center yesterday:

Quote:
At SMX Advanced, Matt Cutts, Google’s head of search spam, announced that the Panda algorithm is still being updated roughly every month, but that update is rolled out slowly throughout the month.

Google can do whatever they want, and they will, as long as they keep searchers happy. Webmasters just have to roll with the punches. In a way, though, getting hit can be the jolt some need to get their sites in shape for their users. Many site owners think SEOs are talking nonsense until they get slammed.

Not all webmasters and site owners whore themselves out to Google. For some of us, Google is irrelevant.

Yes, Google can do whatever they want... however, that doesn't mean I need listen or have to care, which I don't...

Ya'll know this is the G update thread right. From the opening post:

Do you have a speculation about when Google will update?

Do you think there has been a backlinks update?
Do you think there has been a PR update?
Are you seeing Google fluctuations?
Do you think there has been an algorithm update?

Google Update Underway: But For Payday Or Panda?

Anyone notice this?
Quote:
There appears to be an update underway, one that will be rolling out over a “multi-week” timeframe according to Google’s head of search spam, Matt Cutts.

The update was announced by Matt on Twitter in response to a question about why some of the search results look spammy. Matt replied saying, “Yup we saw that. Multi-week rollout going on now, from next week all the way to the week after July 4th.”

He actually mentioned this on his own site yesterday also.

I agree with this statement. I have studied about the latest penguin update. If you are experiencing a traffic drop for a specific keyword or page that means your website is hit by penguin and in this case you have to remove bad backlinks.
