How does one find PR?

My holy grail guide to Internet PR's doesn't have an index! HELP!

Links of posts, sites, or just a paste and copy will do.

Seeing your PR is not the same as getting PR. Getting PR is easy, too. Just got get a bunch of links from other sites. Preferably ones with high PR.

Thanks Dude! Seriously, I was going crazy I had no idea where people came up with this number and everytime someone posted something new about it I would pull out my hair.. well, sort of..

Maybe I missed it in the PR tutorial on the mainpage. Or does it clearly state that PR comes from the toolbar?

Technically it doesn't come from the toolbar, but it is reported by the toolbar.

http://www.thespear.net/pagerank.php is my concept site.. developing a way to get PR w/o Google toolbar.. almost there.. code is being worked on.. I can add sites manually though.
