Google Displaying A Websites Top 5 Pages
Do you know how to make Google list your website like this ?
{ check out the first listing }
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...%3Aen&q=burton
It seems to happen when you search for a website by name w/out the dot com.
I don't even know what its called. I do know last week G was displaying the important pages of a site horizontally, now they are displayed vertically. I see it happen a lot for manufacturers and retailers but would like to get it going for our design firm.
Never heard of anyone talking about this, but I thought this is prolly the place to ask.
Do you know what it's called or how to make your website display like the above example ?

I've seen Google doing this but can't narrow it down to why they do it for some websites and not for others.

Google don't even seem to include this on their search help center page. Be very interesting to know why some sites get this in their results. It seems to occur whenever you type a big company or orgainsations name in such as NBC, BBC etc.

I tried looking for my site. When I did 'wafflesradio' I got my
Do It Yourself page. When I did 'waffles radio' I got my
Featured Artist information page.

IMHO it could happen when a website is really strong for a certain keyword .
The reason could be giving a useful service to Google's users in order to simplify their research.
My 2 cents...

I would also like to do know how this is done. i noticed it yesterday for the first time. more importantly Google is taking away the need to visit the actual web page and browse through it.

Well..
Well, the links seem to originate from the Sitemap, for instance SMF has its listing on google like that:
The URLs are:
Community
Code:
http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://www.simplemachines.org/community/&sa=X&oi=smap&resnum=1&ct=result&cd=1
Download
Code:
http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://www.simplemachines.org/download/&sa=X&oi=smap&resnum=1&ct=result&cd=2
Each time the "oi" = "smap" which I guess is Sitemap, and the CD is incremented.
