Google index is there then gone

Hey everyone this has happened to me twice now, I have searched for my site on google and found it, then 20 minutes later searched again and it was gone. My site has been up for about a month now, I have submitted to google, built sitemap, backlinked, ect, ect, they still dont give me a solid index...what gives?

I just did that today, just out of curiousity, how long is it on average going to take from sitemap submit to listing? I am sure you all can tell that I am extremely patient with these types of things

Well, it crawled my website within an hour of submitting a sitemap, but give it about 24 hours.
I wrote a post on my blog after my website got indexed (4/5 days after launching it) about how to use google sitemaps. You might want to take a look at it:

Well i submitted a site map, and my whole site has yet to be indexed, but my top page is consistantly there now. Thanks for the help!

No worries bro. Give it some time to index the rest. In the meanwhile focus on getting links and members, building lots of content, etc.

I reckon submit a sitemap once a week and that'll be enough, and soon you'll start getting crawled on a regular basis.

I was monitoring it and I believe it's just showing a different datacenter...
