Violation of Google Terms?
Judge for yourself:
http://www.uzoogle.com/
Now if you say no, try doing a search on it and Google will tell you itself.
Now the mystery here is WHY it got banned, can anyone tell me?

I can't look at this site. It is blocked by ZoneAlarm as a site containing spyware. This is the first time I ever encountred a site blocked for this reason.

Google probably sees this as an infringement of their trademark. The design and customized page titles look are too strongly reminiscent of Google's logo. I realize that's the point, but the disclaimer saying the site isn't affiliated with Google is below the fold.
Their logo and look are very simple, but good trademarks are simple - Google's appearance is instantly recognizable and they have fought before to protect it from copycats. I think banning is the least they might do.

When you do a search, it pretty much tells you that it has been banned. When you use the Google search bar, it gives you the error and reasoning.
And I agree with watley. They are lucky they only were banned.

Google can't copyright colors of a logo and their layout is WAY too simple to be copyrighted...

It's not copyrighted, it's trademarked - and I respectfully disagree with your assessment. How complicated is the "golden arches" logo for McDonalds? Google's logo is instantly recognizable. It is marked as a trademark ("tm"). You bet your sweet bippy that logo is protected.
Here's the trademark record at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

From the US website

A trademark protects words, phrases, symbols, or designs identifying the source of the goods or services of one party and distinguishing them from those of others.
|
I know when I've trademarked, I could submit the actual logo - design and all.
I'm sure this is where it would fall.
Edited to say: Just read the above reply. That is exactly where I went to do our trademark. Here is the link to the info: http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/tac/doc/basic/

Well the layout is a different story, I think. Logo + search box. Not much to it. I think you could do the same layout, as long as the logo didn't look like Google's.

Look... I think any design based on a word in a relatively ordinary font with letters of alternating colors, whatever they are, is going to seem Googlish. If you introduced some other element into the logo - a dog, a swoosh, a lightning bolt, a dancing light bulb, a three-eyed fish, a poison dart frog, a CAPS LOCK key, a cup of coffee, a cup of CAPS LOCK keys, a spiral-bound notebook, a glowstick, a slidey pen, a rock, a thermostat, a carburetor, an aggressive smiley, a swooshing dog throwing lightning bolts at a dancing light bulb-wearing three-eyed fish - ANYTHING that makes your design genuinely distinctive, you'd be in safer territory.

They show the ban message for any query, but I bet Google doesn't mix their search results with the websites they banned...

It is not banned, it is there in the index and it also has a Pagerank.
Maybe it is in the sandbox ?
