PageRank for Blogs
I am wondering if it is possible to get PageRank for blogs. Specifically on services such as Blogger. I have looked through so many and have never seen one that has any PageRank, even the Google corporate blogs. I have, however, seen some blogs that are hosted privately that have PageRank, but I believe this stems from their parent URL.
Should blogs be subject to PageRank? Or should it only be allowed for privately hosted blogs and not public ones on a blog hosting service?
Personally I would love to see PageRank on blogs to be able to see at a glance who is popular and who gets those quality results.

Blogs definitely have PageRank. BoingBoing and SlashDot, for instance, both have PR9.
Now, if you're looking at individual postings, they are probably too new to have any PageRank showing yet. Look far enough back, however, and you'll see PageRank on the postings as well.

Gaining PR with blogs is a bit easier than websites. The reason is clear, you are already connected to a super power website, blogger, with PR 10

Congrats Julie on your PR5! I guess you can get some PR on them after all.
One question though, do you have it hosted on blogger or do you have it hosted on your site and just FTP upload it?
Would there be a difference in the location of the XML as to where it would get the most benefit?
I'm guessing most likely it's just the backlinks and expanding use of the blog out in the sphere. I will keep posting
Thanks!

It is hosted on blogger.
Basically you just need lots of quality links to get a PR. It doesn't matter if it is hosted by blogger, or on your own server.

You CAN get PR for a Blogspot site, and also Traffic rankings from Alexa too. The downside is with Alexa you can't edit site info (info for any blogspot blog seems to be set for Blogger.com).
