Ad words tutorial & article links?

This may have already been posted, but I thought I would ask anyhow.

Do you google adwords guys and gals have any links to good articles on how not to get your "@$$ handed to you" when just starting out with adwords?

I'm wanting to start some campains in the very near future, but I want to completely understand everything before putting real money down.

I've never messed with the adwords end of google.

Try the Perry Marshal cource, I think it's $97 good stuff for beginners and will shorten your learning curve. Be careful very easy to waste money quickly even if you know what your doing.
