Google Apps is a pretty different
hosted service than you are thinking.. I've signed up for Google Apps and it's really really nice that's why I started a thread about this.
First of all, you gotta verify your domain's ownership. Then you'll have to change MX and CNAME records in order to configure the hosted services included in Google Apps.
What Google Apps really does :
1) Provides you free Gmail accounts to offer it to your own clients
2) It
allows you to use your own logos instead of using the default GMail logo.
3). It allows you to use your own domain to create email aliases like
your-name@yourdomain.com (instead of the default
your-name@gmail.com)
And...
a lot more..
Note: for the people who are thinking that Google Apps isn't functioning right now, please don't make delay and sign up NOW because it's working pretty nicely for me.
