Might help that they have the word "search" in the (former) domain name.

Yeah I'm thinking that word search is what's helping most. Search.com is #2 for me and Google comes up #3. Google seems to have many more backlinks than msn, both for the page and the site (other than del.icio.us citations).

Maybe Google was to aggresive in their seo. They should limit how many reciprocal links from spammy sites they get.

Yes, I was surpised to see that they had 1,300,000 (!) backlinks from porn sites:

If that doesn't set off a few flags...
