Title and google

I run the LPForums, and everyone knows, and I wanted to know if it was better to have the normal phpBB title, the forum name :: topic title.
i.e. Webmaster Forums :: Title and Google

Or is it better to have a set title like:
Webmaster Forums :: The Ultimate Webmasters Resource

Which do you think would be better?

Interesting that you would set it up like that in your sig. Any particular reasoning behind that?

Well it obviously is an attempt to get two backlinks from one signature line. The problem is that it splits up the anchor text. I doubt that a link with anchor text 'forum' is going to do much good. But I guess from a PR point of view it is two links.

Yeah - I can't see the good in targeting "forum".

You can't get more PR for 2 links on the same page though, can you? I always thought and heard that they only count one link per page, or is that just for backlink count?

Good question. I've seen that discussed before and I've never been sure what the answer is.

When it comes to internal links lots of site have two or more links to the same page on every page on the site. They may have a "home" link where you would expect it on the top left of the page and then another link with better anchor text at the bottom of the page.

Google will only display the page once in it's backlinks listing, but who knows what they do with the double ot triple links as far as PR goes or even relevance from the anchor text????

Do you remember all that "grunge" stuff in the 1990s?

Well, think on what happens when you mix the concepts of "grunge" with "manufactured boy band" and apparently you get "Linkin Park".

Apparently, though. I know almost as little about them as you.

My reason for doing that is because I want to target the keyword "Linkin Park" I would just put linkin park, but I want people to know it is a forum. The Keyword "Linkin Park Froums" is not searched that much. So I wanted to attempt a better keyword.
