Does anyone know how long it takes for Google to update backlinks? I know I have got more than Google is showing.

Google never shows all the inbound links you have. It is said that they only show pages with a PR of 4 or higher, but the results are always fluctuating.

Try search for link.all:www.yoururl.com on AllTheWeb if you want an estimate of how many backlinks you have.

Google updates things such as "link:URL" every month or so - but this is more for public show. Google already has the backlinks and PR calculated before the public update, and takes these into account in the rolling updates.

You can try and track your backlinks that are under PR4 by searching for "URL" (in commas) if you're looking for a plain link (or a branded name link).
