I think the PR calculation google does is way more complicated. Maybe in special cases where sometimes you get lucky and find that a certain formula seems to explain a certain website. But try it on a couple more and see what happens.

i have tried my home page, which has PR 4, too , it works as i specified above. Across the pages in the website, the probability distribution should be 1, as the addition of the probabilities. So, due to this logic, im not concentrating to be linked to low PR pages.

I would definitely prefer to invest my time into improving the quality of my sites and increasing incoming links rather than worrying about the exact calculations used to determine Google PageRank.

Agree, and the most important thing is that you dont need any PR to have high rankings.
