I'm not a big fan of keyword planner anyway. My favourites are

1. Soolve.com

This free tool will mine keywords from around the web including Amazon, Yahoo and Youtube

2. Ubersuggest.io

3. Finally, simply typing a keyword into google and scrolling down and looking at the "Searches related to" bit at the bottom can sometimes give you some great keyword ideas

Keyword Planner and because I have used it for years. lol

O dear lord... look at this list of stuff I could use.

I did use WordStream in the past but I used the free one which had its limits so I went back to Keyword planner.

The Moz one really has my attention. I just did a test keyword in there and like the results it shows.

Here is what I like in the test keyword:

Keyword Suggestions: Other keyword phrases to use with the "volume stat showing"..... SERP Analysis got the DA showing! Also the last stat I see is "Mentions" it as the date found of that keyword I used for testing and the mention authority.

I have never used any tools Moz has created/bought and slapped up there name on but this tool I'm actually really interested in after using it for 5 minutes on 1 test. It's now added to my keyword tool folder and will not have dust on it.

My favourite is SEMRush. I can get keywords of competitors and I can bet on them for ROI because a known competitor is benefiting.

Most I have encountered before (years before) were paid ones. I actually decided to stick with the keyword planner throughout the years. It's good to learn the list below. I'll check them out.

It's actually soovle.com. I guess it was just a typo.

Pretty neat tool. Provides keyword suggestions based on Autocomplete feature from various search engines. However, Google decided to provide restricted access to it's Autosearch API and hence not sure how much one should rely on Soovle. It produces some nice results, nevertheless.

I like the keyword planner on seobook, it was a pain to find, but they let you use it totally for free and I like the fuzzy match searching. It doesn't have some other cool features of other sites, but when I'll save my 5 queries at Moz for special cases.

I am using Ahrefs and happy with it now. It show me a lot of information of my website: backlinks, DR, URL Rating, Referring domains, Organic keywords, Tracked keywords... and many other useful information.

I use semrush. It is basically a data driven tool and derive data by using millions of query in almost all niche. We can feel safe as we can get competitor's keywords and if it is working for them, it should work for you as well.

Google keyword planner is still the most important and relevant when it comes to running an ad!

Semrush and soovle.com provide you a hint which I think is also very important. I have started to combine them and use my niche market segment to plan for my key phrases now.

I like KWFinder, is very similar to Google KW planner, but SEMRush is the top.

Here is me sitting relying on Google's keyword planner tool all this time.

It's crazy to think that there is more to be fair since it's the most robust for comparing impression rates but I'll be looking into these today.

I've seen AHREFs but the trial has put me off, at least companies like Majestic offer an entry level play around with their features before it caps you for that day, much better marketing.

How often you access to Google Planner?
I assume that you have not used keyword planner in recent days.
For a reason we are discussing over this issue because Google has restricted the keyword planner data to free users. Precisely, one needs to spend money on campaigns to get the real data back.

I use very often the keywordtool.io, I just like how fast they generate long tail keyword ideas. Than I just grab the list and put into GKW to check search volume.

I prefer Semrush. If you are interested in global, world-wide research, then it's definitely SEMrush. Their data updates every single day, which is really handy.

I use Ahrefs for most of my work. But I also recommend you to check "Keywords Everywhere."

I have used Semrush and Ahrefs frequently but I have also starting using spyfu to get insight into competitors keywords and to take a look at their adwords copy.

My favourite is Semrush
Why because ?
Easy UI
We can compare our website vs competitors backlinks easily
Low competitive keywords with high traffic volume.

So I like Semrush!
