Hi everyone,

As you may know I have my site WickedPuppy.net and I would like it to get a fairly good position in Google

Does anyone have any tips on what I could improve?

First thing is, you need to decide which keywords you want to target.

Ok, it's a general chat site

I would therefore aim on the keywords that my categories are using. I am aiming on only indexing high my main page and not the forum

Would that be easier?

Well some keywords I would be aiming for would be:

General, Chat, Discussions, News, Puppy, Strychnine and so on...

Also as we are talking I have a GoogleBot on my site, would that be a good sign?

Huh. General / generic terms are hard. I'd get more specialized. How about targeting a specific demographic? Like, a regional market, or an age group, like "Teens"?

Sounds interesting. I might change my content towards the future and go on a more specific subject. Would that be better?
