All these free services that we use from various small companies are definitely to blame. They make their money selling data, regardless of what their privacy policy says. However evil Google is, they're not evil enough to topple governments or bring about political upheavals.
How is Google evil? I remember when the SEO "community" decided to turn against one another and report each others. Google started brilliantly but took the lazier approach putting Cutts on the front line and it worked. The owners stepped back, it become a publicly traded company. I think those were the highlights in terms of changes.

I'm not even going near SEO. But monitoring all aspects of people's lives just so that you can sell ads to them is a bad thing! People worry about the NSA, but Android does a much better job of spying on people. Then there's the wifi password scandal https://www.theguardian.com/technolo...g-private-data

I expect that it will become even more specific and there will be more custom pages for everyone. You can already see this happening where Google will change your results based on location.

I believe they will have a full profile of our habits so each search will be custom. Also there will probably be more pages with snippets yet these snippets will be much bigger and more interactive for searches that have a more definitive result.

It might end up looking totally different if we factor in VR.

I think and observed, how many updates come the base of SEO remain the same which is backlinking and if social platform overtaken the SEO then websites are also overtaken because without SEO there is nothing like web.

Try a better translator - the output from one you are using is hard to decipher.

Although it seems trite, the future of SEO is to go back to basics, which is summarised as;
Create value (great product)
Get on-page SEO right (no errors)
Keep the content fresh
Get publicity through high-trust news media (quality citations and links)
Keep customers happy (get social media referrals)
Do some quality linking through peak industry body sites.
Keep low-quality linking to a minimum.

This means that a business needs to do most of the hard work themselves, as it will be difficult to outsource all the implementation.

I think in future the social media thing would get more attraction by google.
If a website is shares a lot in fb, twitter etc.. it must be interesting for the users. So why not rank this website higher while its hot on topic and user are sharing the content.

I'm not master or pro in this matter but I'm think like this:
For what I've seen, Google often changes based on what they think can be best for audiences' experience. Recent updates and announcements from google (panda, penguin,...) pointing towards a fact that google getting more and more focus on solid content for audiences (good content or not must be based on users' experience).
And so businesses also have to follow the same: providing valuable content which people care about and want to see. Google seems to tired of crappy content at this point , they have done recently and I still think they will go for it for years to come.

The future is always bright for SEO because it is fully based on the search engine and we know that nothing is comparable to Google. So as per my point of view, When we are fully focus on ranking into search engine then SEO is the best. But your site is developed only for traffic purpose then Social Media is the best way to deal with it.

The world of search marketing evolves very rapidly. If you want your brand to stay relevant in the search results, you’ve got to keep adapting with the changing digital marketing climate by adapting your content marketing, web design, and your social media marketing.

SSE will replace SERP in the future
Machine learning technology for language has reached its zenith with neuron algorithms (which facebook is a pioneer). Google no longer uses words or phrases to identify relevant content that uses co-citation and co-occurrence algorithms to determine exactly what content is worth mentioning.

I think user experience is future of SEO. The user experience includes fast site speed, easy navigation, responsive design, article thoroughness & good looking design.

Good looking design can not be defined as it is subjective. It was never an seo factor and never will be.

I read about voice search. So, basically, we use long term keywords that's pretty much related to voice search. More and more people are using voice search to carry out certain commands, so doing this is very understandable.

Please elaborate a bit more, with reasons/justifications. One liners aren't good enough.
