googlebot hits site 200/day no PR

So i dont think many would complain if this was happening to them....there's always one!

So the site I am currently working on www.visalogic.net, is being hit by googlebot (200 a day), slurp (50 odd a day), msn (20 a day) and a few other smaller ones.
With about 200 unique people a day from PPC campaigns etc.

The site is an aspx site with the pages being rewritten nicely etc (except for and ID a the end which is uniqe to the url).

Its been live since april, we have all the google tools we can get running behind the scenes (sitemaps etc), but still no joy on the PR, although occasionaly we get a PR of 3 (in the google toolbar).

I have been backlinking for a while, and I know it can take ages to get listed in directories (side not - is DMOZ still worth while?) but what can I do to raise the game so to speak?

The PR showing on the toolbar still hasn't stabilized completely. I see sites jumping around still. I'm thinking this will be corrected on the next update, probably in early January.

I'm no expert though, so I could be totally off base.

Doess anyone know when the last big update actually happened?

I have been keeping a real close eye on PR, traffic ( I am a coder so have written a tracking system to get all the stuff I need from the site) etc for vislaogic.net and it got a PR of 2 very quickly about 6 weeks ago and then it just fell away.

Just a thought to throw out there, if a site we are recip-linking to (PR4) is linking to an adult site (not that sort of adult but a gentlemans club - it has no adult rating on it) would/could that effect our PR?
As I understand it the link strength get lower the more dgrees of seperation exist?
Does anyone know a bit more about linking beyond the first level?

The new PRs started emerging first week of October. Usually it settles down and stabilizes after a couple weeks. This time though it keeps flipping back. If you're really wondering if you got a PR though, do a datacenter check.

PR is updated quarterly, maybe you just missed the cut. Do a search for a tool called "future pagerank" you will be able to check your site's pagerank on about 10 of Google's datacenters, which should give you a clue if what your pagerank will be updated to the toolbar in the next update.

I wouldn't suggest those future pagerank predictors no one really knows google's algorithms to giving a site PR.

I had a look around and some say its already PR3 others say PR0?

found and tried pageranktool.net (http://www.pageranktool.net/google_p....visalogic.net) to check out datacenters and over the last few days the PR has gone from having 2 on PR3 to 4 at PR3!

From a geek perspective (thinking down the DNS propagation idea) it looks like the PR is being rolled out across the datacenters, might be an update migrating?

I am not sure how they (google) do tis exactly but....

Just as I read your post, I checked back to my site just launched but up and running about 2 months. Yesterday I re-installed google toolbar to check PR and it was showing no PR, a couple of hours ago 1pm CET it was jumping between 0 and 5, its stabilized now when I enter site, bingo PR5 straight away. And another site I have its PR has gone up 1 today also. If this information is any use to you.

Pr depends on your backlinks on the quality websites with high pr and ofcourse niche websites and unique content also matters in it.
