Do you have a speculation about when Google will update?
  • Do you think there has been a backlinks update?
  • Do you think there has been a PR update?
  • Are you seeing Google fluctuations?
  • Do you think there has been an algorithm update?

You may want to start with a basic understanding about Google updates before posting in this thread.

Hence that's why a few weeks ago I removed all email popups. Right now I have a sticky messages bar in the footer with my newsletter attached. I may add my other news letter in the side column but none are pop-ups.

I really don't like pop-ups in general, it ruins user experience in my eyes.

New, unconfirmed Google ranking update shakes the SEO world

Quote:
Since yesterday morning, the SEO industry has been watching an unconfirmed Google ranking update that seems to target more of the link quality aspects of the overall algorithm. (Google’s Gary Illyes has jokingly suggested that all updates be named “Fred.”)

We’ve seen more chatter and reports of changes from within the “black hat” SEO community, which generally means that this is a spam algorithm update around links. Last time we reported a link spam-related update was in early February, and that update also was unconfirmed by Google.

I've always been annoyed by those email pop ups when you get to someones site. I mean how do you know you want to sign up for something when you don't understand the site at first glance?

Google Algorithms Now Target Offensive, Upsetting, Inaccurate & Hateful Results

Mind what you say (or write) ....
Quote:
Yesterday, Google released a new quality raters guidelines PDF document that was specifically updated to tell the quality raters how to spot and flag offensive, upsetting, inaccurate and hateful web pages in the search results.

Paul Haahr, a lead search engineer at Google who celebrated his 15th year at the company, told us that Google has been working on algorithms to combat web pages that are offensive, upsetting, inaccurate and hateful in their search results. He said it only impacts about 0.1% of the queries but it is an important problem...
